Eat Here: French Broad Chocolates - Asheville, N.C.

From chocolate bars to brownies, caramels and even cooking chocolate, French Broad has a wide range of options for everyone. They are especially known for their truffle collections. Perhaps the most popular and interesting is the Signature Collection, a compilation of chocolates that pairs a variety of flavors to create unique profiles. It’s a sophisticated palette, sure to excite true lovers of chocolate. The Hazelnut Crunch truffle is a gratifying combination of hazelnut butter, milk chocolate and hazelnut bits covered in dark chocolate. The end result is an enticing hazelnut explosion with the perfect touch of bitter flavors from the dark chocolate.

The collection features a total of six flavors, including the delicious Fresh Raspberry truffle and fun pieces like the Café au Lait and the Bourbon Pecan, which uses Knob Creek Bourbon infused with pecans in dark chocolate, with vanilla pod sprinkles on top. Dark chocolate is incorporated in every truffle in this collection, but don’t be alarmed if you prefer milk chocolate; the flavors are beautifully balanced so that even lovers of milk chocolate can happily indulge.
